“A few years ago, in an instant my life
changed with medical setbacks such as kidney failure, heart failure, and
life support twice. This eventually caused a ripple effect of financial
setbacks as well, and with a family to support, now if that’s not rock
bottom I don’t know what is. I had to fight the depressive thoughts of
suicide, thinking that if I died, maybe everyone would be better off
without me.
I had to make a change from negative to
positive, and for me it started in the mirror. At first it seemed so
hard to look myself in the eyes and say, “I love you.”
Eventually this daily mirror therapy
transformed me by helping me to start feeling better about myself. It
allowed me to stop judging myself by the negative comparison charts and
love me for me.”
